The Southgate Thursday School is a ministry of the Southgate Church of Christ. Our Thursday School program provides a Christian atmosphere and gives children ages 2-5 (preschool), opportunities for learning experiences about God and preparations for Kindergarten work in our public school, while interacting socially with others their own age.

Thursday School has a wonderful Christian staff of well over 30 volunteers who are motivated by their love of children and of the Lord.

Thursday School's goal every year is to help every child develop to their full potential spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically. Southgate's Thursday School encourages each child to become independent, to develop a good self-image, to become socially and emotionally equipped for the future (in school and out of school) and to help them develop a close relationship with the Lord. During the 20+ years of existence, we have had about 1400 students in our program. These children grow up to be doctors, attorneys, missionaries, teachers, accountants and many other professions. We like to believe that, along with a loving mother and father, we helped them get a start on a life of serving the Lord.
